America The Vicious

The latest tweet storm from our not so esteemed president has us all wearily shaking our heads. How much more of this can our culture take? This is not making “America Great Again,” it is making America Vicious. The rhetoric has become so dismal and angry. Racists are boldly out of the closet because they believe our President has given them permission. Our most softhearted liberals are now viciously attacking each other for the slightest misuse of language. Troll culture is front and center in every facet of our society. We have all collectively become emboldened by this vicious status quo. Tit for Tat is the thing and the anger and frustration is escalating.

I have never before seen how powerfully the President can set the tone. In the past I suppose this has been a subtle thing. But this President seems to have set off a tidal wave of bile. He strikes the match and the viciousness spreads like wildfire. It’s everywhere you look, in every facet of society.

Meanwhile, the other members of his party are quietly, hurriedly moving their agenda forward. This bilious culture is a price they are willing to pay to control the Senate and the House. They will endure anything to cut taxes for the rich and cut services for the poor. This force majeure of a presidency is allowing them to work rapidly towards their goals and they are grimly thrilled.

Here’s the thing. Frustration, Bitterness, and Anger are the manifestation of the Not-Self. The United States as a whole is not itself right now. The Human Design Chart is not supposed to be vicious, frustrated, bitter, and angry. These are the low, not-self, expressions of who we are. To be clear, evil does not exist in Human Design. But we are capable of evil when we are expressing the lowest versions of ourselves.

Human Design utilizes both western and eastern astrology, the Chinese I-Ching, the Kabbalah Tree of Life, the Hindu Chakra system, and Quantum Physics. I don’t pretend to know exactly how it works, but the software spits out a chart based on a person’s date, time, and location of birth that is remarkably accurate.

Take our not so esteemed President. There is a part of me that wishes I could see pure evil in his Human Design chart. It would explain so much and give me permission to hate him. But honestly, what I do see here is a man mired in his lowest expression.

According to his chart, our president is man who is clearly run by his emotions; a manifesting generator who thinks he is a manifestor; a man who is almost pathologically afraid of being bored; and a man full of opinions without much concern whether they are accurate or not. He is driven by the art of the deal and his sexuality. This is also a man who, while he was all about ideas and sales tactics in his youth, has the energy of the King and the Wordsmith in his present. Yes, all of this is in his chart.

Emotional Clarity is this man’s authority. But in order for this to work correctly in his life, he needs to wait for clarity. Vicious 5am tweets are a symptom of a man who is not waiting for clarity before he acts. Not waiting for emotional clarity means his decision making abilities are severely compromised.

Our President is a Manifesting Generator. The frustration and anger we see on display almost every single day tells me he is not living according to his strategy to wait to respond. So not only is he not waiting for emotional clarity, he is also not waiting to respond to opportunities. Manifesting Generators often mistake themselves for Manifestors, who are the only Human Design Type here on this earth to initiate without waiting. So they get angry and frustrated when they encounter resistance. Resistance is built into the American Government as is, if he is not waiting to respond and attempting to force things he will encounter huge resistance, guaranteed. He has the energy for making money in his chart and that has certainly been evident in his life. But his job as president is not to make money, it is to guide and care for more than 325,000,000 people.

There is also an extremely strong energy in his chart for transitoriness. This is a man who gets bored very easily, a man who needs to try and do new things all the time. This often manifests as a very strong fear of boredom and also as a jaded, been there done that attitude. Someone with this energy must move on to something different and new on a regular basis. So sure, why not run for president? That’s a new one. But whether or not his interest is sustainable is questionable. With his 3rd line profile, he is here to constantly experiment.

What drives him, is the art of the deal and I’m afraid his sexuality. This trickster, deal making energy in his moon can have the energy for lies (in the sense of saying anything to make the deal). His sexuality is clearly expressed in the way he flirts with and talks to women. He is unconsciously driven to expresses his sexual machismo in this manner.

He feels pressure to answer other people's questions and to act on their ideas as if they are his own, yet he has a very fixed way of thinking about things. He is all about expressing his opinions and ideas for change. He loves to talk about money. He will also tend to hold on to the past and talk about it. He questions his lovability on a fundamental level and struggles to find direction, often finding it from others. He has the energy for starting things but not necessarily the energy for finishing them. But at the same time feels enormous pressure to finish things so that he can be free. So he has a tendency to rush through things in a slap dash manner to get them done. He has a tendency to hold on to things longer than he should. There is a profound fear of failure here, the fear that things are not perfect, and also a fear of the future.

He has a very strong, macho tribal energy where he will find the resources and protect his tribe through any means necessary. A good quality for president one would think but I get the sense the people he considers to be part of his tribe are narrow in scope. If someone crosses him, they are not part of his tribe. I hate to say it but when protesters take to the street in opposition to him (and I've proudly done it myself), they become the enemy of his tribe. His reaction is not "Oh, maybe I'm on the wrong track here," it is "How dare those people question me? How dare they attack me and my people?" One bad picture or accusation of falsehood, the media becomes the enemy of his tribe. Once someone is designated as the enemy of him and his people, he is relieved of the responsibility to take care of them or care for them. He feels free to attack.

The energy of the King that is prominent in the second half of his life is not democratic leadership. This is the energy of ruler who takes care of his people but does not necessarily listen to them. In fact there is a projected aspect to this kingly status. Meaning people may project their version of the ruler they want on to him, or not. There is also the energy for prophesy in the second half of his life, for understanding when change is going to come and when to be ready. But this is also the energy for expressing his ideas for change in an elitist, malicious, discriminatory way in the low expression.

But in a spiritual sense, which is most likely veiled for him, this kingly quality also has the potential for finding common ground. We can only hope that in time he can somehow tap into this spiritual aspect of his energetic role as King.

That is the tragedy. Every single one of these energies in his chart also has a beautiful, positive side whether he is expressing them beautifully or not.

This is my point. Every single one of us has our own chart loaded with opportunities to be beautiful and positive or ugly and small. Are we really a country that so readily takes its cues from the top no matter the example? We must hope for and expect the best in our leaders AND ourselves. If nothing else we can start with ourselves. Work towards the best of ourselves and consciously treat people with the respect and love ALL of us deserve, deep down inside.
