The sun has now moved to Gate 41, FANTASY, also known as IMAGINATION. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called DECREASE. 

Gate 41 marks the start of the Human Design year.

People with FANTASY defined in their chart may find themselves lost in various versions of their life and they sometimes fail to mention these scenarios to the other people involved. Needless to say hilarity ensues. They may also find themselves to be the object of someone else's FANTASY because all of these energies go both ways.

These individuals have the unique ability to creatively IMAGINE various outcomes in their lives. But people with this energy defined should be careful to not act on these FANTASIES. It's important to sit back and wait for right timing. The FANTASY seems very real and actionable but it is internal thought and therefore not privy to most people’s authority. The very act of IMAGINING however can energetically create the opportunities they seek.

What does this mean for you? Well isn't it also grand to now have access to the power for FANTASY when you are thinking about the new year? Allow yourself to really go there in your mind and IMAGINE all the various outcomes of your choices right now. Let your mind go wild and then simply relax and let it go. The Sun has now moved into Gate 60, ACCEPTANCE, RESOURCEFULNESS, or CONSERVATION. In the I-Ching this energy is called LIMITATION.  

There is a bit of a mixed message with this energy. On one hand, it is coming from a place of holding on to old ways of doing things. On the other hand, this energy does want to innovate. It is indeed mutative. But only in a way that is respectful to the old ways and carries the wisdom of why the old ways work.

So this energy is ACCEPTING the LIMITS of the traditional foundation in a RESOURCEFUL manner that moves toward innovation. This is methodical innovation. In other words, don’t fix what isn’t broken; respectfully, methodically improve it.

People with this energy can be perceived as stuck in their ways and, without awareness, there can be a tendency to be a bit fixed about things. But this is the person who will be the voice of reason in the room when we enthusiastically want change for changes sake. They will hold the process back until they are sure the change is in fact necessary and is indeed an improvement.

Innovation is important, but one must be careful to first do no harm.

So what does this concept of ACCEPTANCE mean to you? Are you someone who hates change? Why? Do you strive for innovation in everything you do? Why not? How RESOURCEFUL are you when it comes to implementing change? Are you the type to throw everything out out the door and start completely over? Or are you able to ACCEPT the things that cannot change yet RESOURCEFULLY implement improvements? Does tradition make you feel safe? Does innovation make you feel unsafe? How can you improve what you have and work within the existing limitations without throwing the good parts out?

Innovation is great. Just try not to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

The Sun has now moved into Gate 61, MYSTERY, also known as WONDER. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called INNER TRUTH.

This is the energy for thinking about the great MYSTERIES of the universe. People who have this energy defined in their birth chart are often fascinated by the occult; generally anything unknowable. Located at the very top of the chart in the center where inspiration resides, the Gate of MYSTERY is seeking the answers to why we are here. Divine inspiration resides in the Head Center. One can certainly entertain themselves for hours with these kinds of thoughts but whether or not they lead to anything definitive is another thing altogether; it is really beside the point. 

If someone with this energy assumes they are supposed to solve these great MYSTERIES, they could inevitably feel a sense of dejection or failure. They might feel a wee bit of melancholy due to some of the subject matter sure, but also due to the loneliness involved with being fascinated by the great MYSTERIES of life when the people around them are not. It is certainly not easy to be considered odd or strange by others. As with all projected energy, it helps to wait for the invitation to talk about these subjects. 

There is a knowingness to this energy that cannot be simply explained. There is no proof. But that is the point. There is no need for proof. There is indeed WONDER in that.

What does MYSTERY mean to you? Do you love the unknowable? Does the unknowable make you uncomfortable? Why? Do you prefer concrete subjects? Is that bad? Do the MYSTERIES of the universe fascinate you? Is that good? Do you believe in ghosts? Do you believe in subjects that are impossible to prove? What about God?

If you are not one of the lucky souls who have this compelling connection to all things MYSTERIOUS defined, now is the time to ponder what the universe has in store for us. Allow yourself to get lost in thought. Is there indeed a divine order to things? If so, what is the purpose of the current state of the world? What part, if any must we take in this narrative to help humanity?

The Sun has now moved to Gate 43, INSIGHT. In the I-Ching, this hexagram is called BREAKTHROUGH.

INSIGHT is about working things out in one’s head to see things in new, INSIGHTFUL ways.

Human Design teaches us that having a brilliant thought in your head and acting on it rarely turns out well. But sharing and discussing that special INSIGHT when the timing is correct may allow others to respond to the INSIGHT and act on it in an energetically sublime way. 

Be careful though, expressing these INSIGHTS hinge entirely on correct timing. This is part of the channel lovingly referred to as Genius to Freak which actually helps illustrate the importance of timing. Blabbing your INSIGHTS without invitation will often result in resistance in other people. As with all projected energy, if you wait for an invitation your INSIGHT may be received by others as a stroke of genius! Simply asking, "I may have some INSIGHT to share, would you like to hear about it," will change the dynamic of the conversation entirely.

The gate of INSIGHT is understandably one of the ALONE gates. It contains the energy to be lost in our own thoughts. Time alone is essential because you need to concentrate to make that BREAKTHROUGH. But let's face it, people who are in their head are not the greatest listeners.

Are you someone who tends to have your head in the clouds? Do the people in your life complain about you not listening to them? Do you find yourself seeking time alone to work out your thoughts? Does it drive you crazy when you feel alone with someone who is lost in their head? When that person who is lost in their head turns to you and says something outlandish do you consider what is surely a gem of INSIGHT contained within it? Would you consider allowing this person time alone with their thoughts to work things out more clearly? Is it possible to not take that personally?

Rejection is hard for anyone. INSIGHT and BREAKTHROUGH are fragile things that can be shot down rather easily. Be patient and kind to yourself and to others in our pursuit of the BREAKTHROUGH.

The Sun has now moved to Gate 1, SELF-EXPRESSION. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called THE CREATIVE.

The need for SELF-EXPRESSION is no joke. The people I know who have this energy defined are truly at a loss when they are not EXPRESSING themselves. When I say at a loss, I mean they feel heavy, burdened, and sad. For many, this need for SELF-EXPRESSION can specifically mean a CREATIVE CONTRIBUTION. Not surprising really since the other half of this channel is just that, the energy for making a CONTRIBUTION to this world.

But seriously, if you have the Gate of SELF-EXPRESSION defined, especially by the Sun you must strive to always have a satisfying outlet for CREATIVE SELF-EXPRESSION. If this element is missing from your life it can weigh heavily on your soul.

To be clear, this doesn’t have to be your J-O-B. It certainly doesn’t need to be your identity. According to science, hobbies make you happy, especially if they provide that oh so necessary creative outlet.

How important is SELF-EXPRESSION to you? Do you see how important it is to the people around you? Do you regularly EXPRESS yourself in CREATIVE ways? Why not? When was the last time you EXPRESSED your soul to the world? Does that question tug at your heart or turn you off entirely? Do your children have a creative outlet? When was the last time you drew a picture, invented a strikingly beautiful and delicious recipe, danced, told a story, decorated your house, or wrote a song?

The sun has now moved to Gate 44, PRESENTATION. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called COMING TO MEET.

This is the energy for PRESENTING the lessons we have learned from the past. To PRESENT the case for why repeating the past would be best or why we must avoid the mistakes of the past. This is energy from the spleen which can also feel like downright fear of the past or even an obsession with the past. In reaction to this fear, there could be a tendency to gloss over the past and make it seem overly idealistic. Or not.

This idealistic bent is also expressed by making things nice. Appearances are very important to people with this energy. The expression of this energy is often the host with the most. They desire to make things beautiful, comfortable, and pleasant for themselves and others. They will often have an intuitive, very tasteful eye for design. For them a beautiful home that looks nice and smells nice is necessary to feel good.

Speaking of smell, the intuition expressed by this energy is stimulated by smell. Folks with this energy can literally smell when something is off. The expression “I smell a rat,” is apt for the energy of PRESENTATION.

PRESENTATION is also part of the energy for closing the deal with its partner Gate 26, THE TRICKSTER. It is COMING TO MEET a client. Gate 44 is energy to make a client feel welcome and pampered so that Gate 26 can swoop in and close the deal. PRESENTATION embodies the wining and dining part of the deal.

What can the past teach us right now? Can we look to the past to know what works and doesn’t work? Were the good old days in fact good? What did we do right back then and what did we do wrong? Do you tend to gloss things over in your memory? Or do you refuse to remember or face the past? Do you paint a darker picture of the past? Is it possible to accurately recall the past without bias?

Is the appearance of things important to you? Do you try to make things appear better than they are? Why? Do you go out of your way to make guests feel comfortable and impressed with your home? Is that good? Is that bad? Is your home a reflection of your inner psyche for better or for worse? What comes first, a well ordered home or a well ordered psyche? Is it possible one can facilitate the other?

Is there such a thing as faking it until you make it when it comes to PRESENTING our best self?

The sun has now moved to Gate 28, STRUGGLE or TENACITY. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called PREPONDERANCE OF THE GREAT.

Life can seem like a STRUGGLE for the person who has Gate 28 defined. They can really feel put upon by the universe. But people with this energy are sometimes not aware they actually thrive on the STRUGGLE. Things don’t seem worth it unless they are difficult. Otherwise, what is the point?

A task will seem meaningless to someone with STRUGGLE defined in their chart if it is too easy and that really is the point. This energy is about the search for meaning. Because there is a very potent fear here that life has no meaning. Difficulty and STRUGGLE make life important and worth living.

These are the people who choose extremely difficult, complicated work. Is that not a blessing to society?

Of course if this energy for STRUGGLE is not directed in a productive way it can unfortunately be directed at their interpersonal relationships. Personal drama can be an outlet for this energy. That said, a person who is willing and able to work through difficulty in a relationship is a wonderful partner indeed.

How does STRUGGLE play a part in your life? Does everything seem hard to you? Do you experience this as bad luck? Why? Are you someone who seeks to work smart and simplify things in your life? The people who seek out what is difficult, who aren’t afraid of STRUGGLE make all of our lives worth living.

The Sun has now moved into Gate 50, VALUES. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called THE CAULDRON.

This is very potent, highly influential energy for transmitting and protecting the VALUES of the tribe. Think Mama Bear or the ultimate matriarchal Grandma. People without even thinking twice fall into line when they are in this energy’s aura.

It is also the compulsion to take care of the people in your life, a very nourishing energy in fact. For example, it is not unusual for someone with the energy of VALUES to be a wonderful cook. Because they feel compelled to nourish their loved ones.

Of course the danger here could be putting other people’s needs ahead of your own in an unhealthy, codependent way. And as with all energies connected to the spleen there is fear here as well. The fear of not meeting your responsibilities, not doing enough, not taking care of the people in your life enough.

How do VALUES play a role in your life? Do you take care of others to a fault? Where do you rank yourself as far as your priorities go? Are you first in line or last? Why? Do you generally feel like you are never doing enough; never taking care of enough? Is this in light of other people’s expectations or your own? What if you didn’t make dinner tonight? Would the family survive? How does self care play out in your life? Is it possible to be equally nurturing to yourself? Why not? Is there is someone in your life that consistently takes care of you? What have you done lately to take care of them?

The sun has now moved into Gate 32, CONTINUITY. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called DURATION.

This is the energy for big dreams. Someone who has this energy defined by the sun may be that person who is always talking about their new exciting business plan which unfortunately never seems to materialize. Don’t judge them. It’s not their fault. Because this is the energy to intuitively know what business ideas will work without any of the energy to physically make it happen. In truth this gift is for others. Think venture capitalist rather than founder and CEO.

This is intuitive energy, not workforce energy. No matter how certain they are that an idea is meant to be successful (and they are certain) they don’t have the design to make it happen. Continuously trying to be something they are not will lead to frustration and a crushing fear of failure. Which could lead to paralysis.

Do you have a natural instinct for business? What does that mean to you? Is it OK that not everyone has the energy for business? Why? When you know a business idea is fantastic and it doesn’t pan out is that bad? What does failure mean to you? Are you afraid to do things because there is a chance you might fail? Do you see failure as an opportunity for wisdom? Why not? What is the worst thing that can happen if an endeavor fails to launch? What does it say about you?

The energy of CONTINUITY is a beautiful example of how we are put on this earth to work with each other. That we are all pieces of the puzzle is one of my favorite revelations of Human Design. Someone who has the workforce energy to start and sustain a business might not have any sense at all of what business ideas will work.

Put these two energies together with the opportunities for invitation and response to work their magic and watch dreams come true.

INTUITION - The Sun in Gate 57 #HUMANDESIGN #TRANSITS #ASTROLOGY #ICHING

The Sun has now moved into Gate 57, INTUITION. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called THE GENTLE.

This is the energy for INTUITION plain and simple. But that is not so simple is it? How do you trust in something as nebulous as INTUITION?

One, you have to believe you have it in the first place. Second you have to push through your fear of the future. Third, you have to turn your brain off and actually listen to it. Because this energy in particular truly is about listening. The mastery of this energy is clairaudience. Meaning there is the potential here for hearing voices or sounds that communicate the truth. In fact, this energy is one of the strongest indications in the chart for psychic abilities.

But I would argue whether you have this energy defined or not, we all have varying types of intuition. Most of the gates of the spleen for example have a particular sort of intuition, there are the transits of course, and we must not forget the amplification of other people’s intuitive abilities can be very powerful. But for those of us who have this energy defined, this INTUITION works in a fixed manner. That is what definition means. The energy is fixed.

So while we’re on the subject what does INTUITION mean to you? Do you have it? Do you trust it? Do you think other people are crazy when they talk about their INTUITION? Why? When your INTUITION tells you to walk away from something do you do it? How does that turn out? What does your INTUITION tell you on a day to day, hour by hour basis? How does this relate to your authority? If you heard a voice in your head would you listen?

DEPTH - The Sun in Gate 48 - #HUMANDESIGN #ICHING #ASTROLOGY #TRANSITS

The sun has now moved into Gate 48, DEPTH. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called THE WELL.

DEPTH is part of the Understanding Circuit in Human Design which is associated with the logical side of humanity who require proof and repetition to support any theory. It is also part of the Channel of Talent which includes Gate 16, SKILLS. This is not magical talent that comes out of nowhere. Although Gate 16 is definitely associated with natural talent and enthusiasm. What DEPTH brings to table is the need to practice and learn until we feel we are adequate for the task. Natural talent and enthusiasm combined with the desire to work hard create the formula for amazing displays of mastery.

This energy has its challenges. As with all gates in the Spleen, the low expression of this energy is fear. In this case, you guessed it, the fear of inadequacy. But with all fears associated with the spleen, the trick is to push through and do it anyway which will result in the fear most likely melting away rather quickly. Tell that to someone with DEPTH in a prominent position on their chart without its partner in crime (Gate 16 SKILLS) and they’ll stare at you like you have two heads.

As I mentioned, this logical energy is compelled to put in the work until they feel adequate. The trouble is how do they know for sure exactly when they are adequate? Because the logical bent of this circuitry needs proof. But how can they have proof unless they actually do it?

The truth is, people with this energy usually put in more work and energy into mastering things than people who don’t have this energy. So yeah, they are more than ready. But they probably will never feel ready.

There lies the rub.

How do you handle your fears of inadequacy? Are you one of those lucky people who think they are awesome at absolutely everything? Why not? What proof do you have that you would be bad at something unless you actually try it? Are you brave enough to be bad at something until you have put in enough work to be great? What if after all that work you’re not that great? Is that OK?

What if you shared your DEPTH of knowledge and experience with others? What’s the worst that can happen? You will always know less than some and more than others. but you will for sure have something to contribute.

Just do it.

CORRECTION - The Sun in Gate 18 #HUMANDESIGN #ASTROLOGY #ICHING #TRANSIT

The Sun has now moved into Gate 18, CORRECTION. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called WORK ON WHAT HAS BEEN SPOILT.

This is the energy to CORRECT or tweak something until it is PERFECT. It is about striving for the JOY of PERFECTION.

It is the brilliant energy of the editor. Is there anything worse than reading a book and having a typo thrust you out of the narrative? I hate that. Don’t you hate that? Isn’t there great JOY in experiencing a perfectly edited book?

It is important to note this energy is not necessarily meant to be directed at ourselves. It is meant to be directed outward in a productive way. Turn this energy inward and someone with this definition could pick themselves apart. For there can be a strong splenic fear with this energy of not being PERFECT; the fear that things are not PERFECT. It is also not always best to direct the energy of CORRECTION towards our loved ones. Turn this drive to CORRECT on someone you love and they just might not experience this energy with the loving intention intended. How can we not take criticism from our loved ones personally?

It is hard to hold back though because that intuitive awareness of what to tweak to improve what is not CORRECT is powerful stuff. As with all projected energy, wait for right timing and even better wait for the invitation to offer your insight on how to CORRECT something. It really does make all the difference in how the advice is perceived.

What does the concept of CORRECTION mean to you? When you walk into a room do you immediately zone in on what needs to be tweaked to improve the decor? When you move that pillow just so do you feel JOY? What is the experience of being CORRECTED feel like to you? When you see an opportunity to help someone improve, do you feel compelled to share your advice? Does this come from a place of Love or irritation? Did they ask for your advice? Does that matter? When someone offers their advice do you experience it as helpful or do you feel criticized? Why? How does that make you feel? Are you continually working to improve yourself? Is that good? Or does this make you feel generally IMPERFECT? Is that bad? What does PERFECTION mean to you? Are you afraid of IMPERFECTION?

Thank goodness for those individuals who intuitively know how to tweak something just so to make it sublime. The world needs that does it not?

LOVE OF THE BODY - The Sun in Gate 46 #HUMANDESIGN #TRANSITS #ASTROLOGY #ICHING

The Sun has now moved to Gate 46, LOVE OF THE BODY. In the IChing, this hexagram is called PUSHING UPWARD.

This is the energy for expressing LOVE through the BODY. The person with this energy defined doesn’t quite feel right unless they are connected to their BODY in a hopefully healthy way. Many athletes and dancers have this energy defined. This is someone who needs to be ‘in’ their BODY. If that connection isn’t happening, they will feel rootless and undefined. The BODY will do what is necessary to get the attention it deserves.

Even spirituality comes from within the flesh, through the LOVE OF THE BODY. A connection to source is possible by PUSHING UPWARD through the flow of the BODY. With this definition, the BODY is the expression of the soul.

Do you LOVE your BODY? How does that question make you feel? Do you struggle to feel actual LOVE for your BODY? Why? Why not? Are you connected to your BODY? What does exercise feel like to your BODY? Does it make you feel more connected to your BODY or less connected? Why? Is it not true that your BODY knows what it needs? Do you give your BODY what it needs? Do you withhold things from your BODY? Why? Do you pamper your BODY? Why not? Does your BODY deserve to be pampered? Does your BODY deserve LOVE? Does your BODY need physical connection to others? Is that OK? If you don’t LOVE your BODY how can you physically express LOVE to someone else?

This is a great time to experiment with LOVING your BODY. Put some music on and throw your BODY a dance party. Take a decadent bubble bath. Get into your BODY. Marinate in your BODY. Feel every inch of your BODY and assess its needs.

What is your BODY trying to tell you?

FRICTION - The Sun in Gate 6 #HUMAN DESIGN #ASTROLOGY #TRANSITS #ICHING

The sun has now moved to Gate 6, FRICTION or CONFLICT RESOLUTION. In the IChing, this hexagram is called CONFLICT.

This is the energy for the FRICTION that is necessary for emotional and creative growth. It is the impetus for a penetrating connection to others. It is also the energy for war or peace. FRICTION is tribal energy that will fight for its people and its resources.

Chetan Parkyn has an interesting take on this energy as the ultimate arbiter or diplomat; the impetus for CONFLICT RESOLUTION. Because despite this position of absolute defense of its people and resources, it also has built in an awareness of the merits of a CONFLICT.

Waiting for clarity is of course very important for this. FRICTION comes from an emotional place but with clarity the right course of action will reveal itself for the best outcome. But FRICTION has growth built into the mix after all. So in order to find the right solution, there has to be a certain amount of FRICTION to stimulate growth for all parties.

This is aura busting energy that can feel like a lot to other people. People with this energy may find others reacting to their presence with anger or affection. It stimulates something within us all. The presence of this energy penetrates us and we feel what this person feels. Whether our solar plexus is defined or not.

Do you avoid FRICTION or CONFLICT? Do you welcome it? Why? When is it worth it to embrace CONFLICT? Does it mean you really care? How can you feel close to someone else if you refuse to experience CONFLICT? Where is that sweet spot between too much CONFLICT or too little CONFLICT for growth? Does it exist? Are you willing to FIGHT for your tribe? Why?

Whether this energy rubs us the wrong way or the right way. We certainly feel something.

REALIZATION - The Sun in Gate 47 #HUMANDESIGN #TRANSITS #ASTROLOGY #ICHING

The sun has now moved to Gate 47, REALIZATION or EPIPHANY. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called OPPRESSION.

As the other end of the channel to Gate 64, CONFUSION, this energy very much plays into that process of making sense out of what was once CONFUSING. It is about trusting and knowing that the EPIPHANY will happen when it needs to happen; that we will REALIZE what it all means.

It is often nicknamed the MINDSET gate. Because it is easy over time to feel like the CONFUSION will never pass. The harder one works at understanding what has been downloaded, the less likely there will be a REALIZATION. So it follows it will never happen. If you don’t think it will happen, it won’t.

This negative MINDSET can be very OPPRESSIVE to the process of allowing the REALIZATION to happen organically.

The lesson here is to trust that if we are meant to understand, the REALIZATION will happen when the timing is right. Trusting in the universe is key. Believing in the process is key. Believing that things will work out for the best is key.

Because this energy in its lowest expression may also find itself in the habit of having a negative MINDSET about all things. This negative attitude will OPPRESS every aspect of their life. But the other side of this coin is very much the other side of this expression. There is potential here for having the gift of living life with great Optimism. One simply has to decide to have the right MINDSET.

The Sun is now in Gate 64, CONFUSION, In the I-Ching this hexagram is called BEFORE COMPLETION. 

This energy has a direct connection to the the super consciousness. Huge concepts arrive out of nowhere and are, at least at first, impossible to fully understand or explain to others. There is a huge sense of inspiration but the thought is unformed because it is BEFORE COMPLETION.

Here is where faith comes in. Faith that over time our subconscious will slowly work whatever it is out. Faith that when the time is right all will become clear if it is meant to be clear. It is about relaxing and allowing the sense of it all to take form organically. Because the harder someone with this energy tries to make sense of it, the more CONFUSED they will become. 

There is a lot in the Human Design Chart that teaches us to wait; whether it be for an invitation, clarity, or an external sign. Waiting goes against how many of us were raised but the universe is set up to guide us along our path if, and that's a big if, we allow ourselves to trust it. If we can relax and allow it to happen, the correct people and situations will be magnetically drawn to us and we will have the ability to know they represent the right path. 

Listen to me. As much as I prefer to keep these messages simple and understandable, I am unable to resist delving into the larger concepts whether I can explain them clearly or not. Not so simple when CONFUSION reigns.

What is not simple is gaining the patience and having the faith to trust that our path will be revealed to us. That's not simple at all. 

The energy of CONFUSION is designed to teach us how to relax and to allow the huge concepts to become clear over time. There is no room for impatience here. Allow yourself to be CONFUSED and let your mind wander. You might never be able to explain it to anyone else. That may or may not be the point.

So what does CONFUSION mean to you? Are you easily CONFUSED? Are you impatient with yourself if you don’t have clarity or certainty? Why? Do you enjoy CONFUSION? Does it drive you nuts when the people in your life cannot explain themselves to you? Why? Do you allow your mind to wander? Why not? Do people get frustrated with you when you are spacing out? Is it OK to allow yourself the creative process of waiting for clarity?      

If you are meant to fully understand the download you will. In the meantime, enjoy the mental gymnastics. They can be super fun if you're not attached to the outcome.

LONELINESS - The Sun in Gate 40 #HUMANDESIGN #ASTROLOGY #TRANSITS #ICHING

The sun has now moved into Gate 40, LONELINESS. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called DELIVERANCE. 

This is the energy of LONELINESS in all its permutations. Someone with this energy defined certainly needs their alone time. It is quite necessary for their well being and also necessary for their unique process of DELIVERING results. 

But they also may feel very LONELY in general which in many cases drives them to reach out to others. This need to connect and resulting efforts to do so never quite shake the sense of LONELINESS however. So this energy may find themselves focusing on the lack of connection rather than the actual connection, often feeling the most LONELY with the people they love. No matter how much attention and love they get, they will feel ALONE. 

It is easy to blame others for this feeling. The reasoning being "If this person really did care about me I wouldn't feel so ALONE." Awareness is key. If you have this energy and are aware that this is simply who you are and not the direct result of someone else's behavior you can better appreciate the people in your life who really do in fact love you.

So If you are celebrating your birthday this week, give this some thought. It is OK to feel LONELY. It is a fundamental part of who you are. In your ALONENESS you are able to process and DELIVER amazing results in this world. Other people cannot make you feel any different for any length of time and it is not their fault. But DO continue to reach out and connect with them. This is also a fundamental part of who you are.

It is in the seeking that transformation happens for all parties involved.  

How does LONELINESS play a part in your life? Do you avoid being ALONE at all costs? Why? Do you love being ALONE? Do you believe someone when they tell you and show you they care? Why not? Would you not want to join the club that would have you as it's member? Why? Would it be possible to give the people in your life the benefit of the doubt and actually trust that they care?

This is also a truly wonderful period to take some time to yourself and self reflect. Revel in being ALONE.

The Sun has now moved to Gate 59, SEXUALITY or INTIMACY. In the I-Ching, this hexagram is called DISPERSION.

This energy is all about connection. SEXUALITY is for sure at play here but I see it more as seeking connection. This energy wants to penetrate the auras around it, to truly experience INTIMACY. It is grasping towards the solar plexus, seeking creative INTIMACY.

This can play out as seeking physical, SEXUAL connection but can also include the desire for deep, connected friendship. This energy is not particularly comfortable with surface, shallow relationships. It craves a true, intimate bond.    

What exactly does INTIMACY mean to you? What about SEXUALITY? Do you find it difficult to connect INTIMATELY with others? Or are you someone who prefers to connect with people on a deeper level? Are you uncomfortable when someone penetrates your space, even with your explicit consent? Does it depend on the person? How does your SEXUALITY play out in your life?

If you are having trouble connecting with someone you care about why not use this transit as an excuse to make an attempt to feel closer? Go deep with the people you love.

PERSEVERANCE - The Sun in Gate 29 #HUMANDESIGN #ASTROLOGY #TRANSITS #ICHING

Adinkra: Commitment Perseverance. "I shall marry you."

Today the Sun has moved into Gate 29, PERSEVERANCE or COMMITMENT. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called THE ABYSMAL. 

This is the energy for fully COMMITTING and sticking to things for better or worse. The full channel (meaning this gate and the opposite gate defined) is often described as "succeeding where others fail." This is simply due to straight up PERSEVERANCE. People with this energy don't give up, or not.

As with all energies it goes both ways but PERSEVERANCE is the theme regardless. The rebellious sort may refuse to COMMIT to anything because deep down they know it will be very difficult to walk away.

The other side of this coin is over COMMITTING. Gate 29 is sometimes lovingly called "the gate of YES." It has a hard time saying no to people. Once folks catch on to this personality trait in someone with this definition, they will tend to take advantage. If unchecked, a person with this energy could over COMMIT themselves into poor health.

But COMMITMENT and PERSEVERANCE are wonderful qualities. This is also considered to be one of the marriage gates. You can see why. The true expression of this energy is not afraid to COMMIT.

So I invite you to take this opportunity to meditate on how exactly COMMITMENT and PERSEVERANCE play out in your life. Do you avoid COMMITMENT? Why? Do you tend to say YES way too much and over extend yourself? How can you hold yourself responsible for establishing boundaries? Are you the type to PERSEVERE no matter what? If not, is that a bad thing? What will it take for you to stick to your COMMITMENTS?

Like all energies, too much or too little leads to imbalance. Use your AUTHORITY to be sure you are saying YES to COMMITMENTS that are correct for you.

The Sun has now moved into Gate 4, ANSWERS or MENTAL SOLUTIONS. In the I-Ching this hexagram is called YOUTHFUL FOLLY.

This is the energy for having the ANSWER, whether it is accurate or not. Depending on whether the AJNA is undefined or defined it can also be pressure to be certain of that ANSWER.

Thinking about the ANSWERS to the universe and searching for the ANSWERS is a wonderful thing; a truly admirable pursuit.

But critical thinking is imperative. Fake news is an excellent example of an ANSWER for ANSWER'S sake. But if you decide to call something fake news does that simple act make it inaccurate? If the news in question is actually, upon further investigation accurate but is repeatedly called fake, does it even qualify as news anymore? If something blatantly false is repeatedly referred to as the ANSWER does the repeating of it in fact make it news?

What is your relationship to ANSWERS? Do you have all the ANSWERS? When a subject comes up during conversation are you quick to jump in with the ANSWER? Are you sure you have the right ANSWER? Should you maybe look into things a little bit more before chiming in? Do people look to you for the ANSWERS? Do you hate it when someone is a know it all? Do you have trouble trusting yourself when you have the ANSWER? Why?

Perception is key. My ANSWER may be different from your ANSWER. But what in fact is the truth?
